Gov. Phil Murphy Announces Aid To Small Businesses In 64 NJ Towns

Gov. Murphy announced a new program to help NJ small businesses "crushed" by the coronavirus outbreak.

NEW JERSEY – Gov. Phil Murphy announced that 64 communities will benefit from a new program that will help small businesses pay their rent. He made the announcement as he revealed 344 additional coronavirus cases and 23 more confirmed deaths amid the outbreak (you can watch it here, below).

Murphy announced that 64 communities under the New Jersey Redevelopment Authority will get $6 million from the new Small Business Lease Emergency Assistance Program (see the towns below).

The money will be funded by federal CARES act funding, providing up to $10,000 to small businesses and redevelopment authorities to help them pay their rent.
