2 Long Valley Officers Graduate From Morris County Police Academy
Patrol Officer Alan Yennie and Patrol Officer Cole Szymanski officially graduated from the Morris County Police Academy.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Two new Washington Township police officers officially graduated from the Morris County Police Academy.
Last month, Patrol Officer Alan Yennie and Patrol Officer Cole Szymanski graduated as part of the 101st basic police class of the Morris County Public Safety Training Academy, after six months of training.
Both Yennie and Szymanski were first sworn into the Washington Township Police Department during a ceremony hosted by Washington Township Mayor Matthew Murello on July 5.

According to the department, Yennie was also the recipient of the Morris County 200 Club Award.
The 200 Club of Morris County was founded in 1971 by a group of concerned business and political leaders. Its formation arose directly from involvement with the Essex County Club, which was founded in 1967 as New Jersey's first 200 Club.

"We wish them the best as they begin their law enforcement careers," the Washington Township Police Department said in an online statement.
The Washington Township Police Department was established in 1964 with the mission of protecting life and property, enforcing the law fairly and impartially, and maintaining the peace, order, and safety of the community they serve.
