2 Washington Twp Officers Promoted At Monday Ceremony
A 19-year veteran of the department will get his own patrol squad, and a seven-year member will return to the patrol division, police said.
WASHINGTON, NJ - Two Washington Township police officers were recently promoted at a ceremony at town hall Monday night, officials said.
Kirk Griffin, a 19-year veteran of the police department, was promoted to the rank of sergeant, Washington Township police said in a statement. He will supervise a patrol squad.
Griffin previously served as a full-time School Resource Officer at West Morris Central High School and a Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) officer, Patch reported.

Andrew “Andy” Tesori, a seven-year police department member, was promoted to corporal and will return to the patrol division after spending the last few years as a detective, police said.
Tesori was honored in 2017 for his live saving actions while responding to an overdose call on Valley View Road.
