Two men hospitalized after major wreck Saturday.

LONG VALLEY - Two men were hospitalized and a utility pole snapped on Schooley’s Mountain Road Saturday, causing a 12-hour closure, Lt. Doug Compton said.

At 10:14 a.m. police received a call for a motor vehicle crash around 188 Schooley’s Mountain Road between East Springtown and Pleasant Grove roads, Compton said.

When police arrived they found an SUV driven by Timothy Moran, 68, of Long Valley, was traveling southbound on the roadway and crossed over the double yellow lines for unknown reasons, Compton said.

Moran’s vehicle spun after the collision, striking the vehicle behind Leuzzi, which was driven by Richard Schmidt, 55, of Great Meadows, Compton said.
