Blotter: Washington Twp Police Arrest Two On Drug Charges

Suspects are accused of possessing marijuana and ecstasy.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, NJ — In the last week, Washington Township police arrested two men on drug possession charges in separate incidents.

On Feb. 7 around 4 p.m., Washington Twp patrol officer Dan Parrish pulled over a vehicle on Academy Street in Califon Borough for a moving violation. During the stop, Parrish found less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, police said. The driver, Justin McGrady, was taken into custody, processed and released pending a court appearance.

On Feb. 11, around 9:48 a.m., patrol officer Jason Hensley pulled over a vehicle on U.S. Route 46 for a moving violation. Police said an investigation on the scene uncovered 24 plastic bags of MDMA, more commonly known as ecstasy.

The driver, David Cuddon, was arrested and processed at Washington Township Police Headquarters. Police said he was charged with Possession of MDMA and issued motor vehicle summonses for possession of a controlled substance in a motor vehicle and a broken break light. Cuddon was issued a court date in Morris County Superior court.
