Drunk Long Valley Woman Smashed Hotel Property: Cops

Woman was taken to hospital after police responded to a report of a disturbance.

LONG VALLEY, N.J. – A Long Valley woman was hospitalized due to high level of intoxication after she was arrested for being disorderly and causing damage to a hotel lobby, Mt. Olive Police said.

Mt. Olive police responded to the Days Inn Budd Lake on Feb. 5 at 4:16 p.m. for a report of a disturbance, police said. When an officer arrived he found Karen Addeo, 40, of Long Valley in the lobby of the hotel, police said.

Addeo appeared to be intoxicated and was acting uncooperative and belligerent toward patrons and patrol, police said.

When police tried speaking with Addeo, she attempted to walk away and intentionally knocked a pot of flowers off the counter of the front desk, causing it to shatter, police said.

Addeo was then placed under arrest. Due to her level of intoxication, she was taken by ambulance to Hackettstown Regional Medical Center for medical evaluation and charged with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
