Fraudulently Cashed Checks Tied To Long Valley Mail Drop: PD

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Did you send a check from the Long Valley Post Office? Check your bank statement, because some fraud incidents have happened, police say.

Police say they've received "numerous" complaints over the past two weeks that checks put in the outgoing mailbox at the Long Valley Post Office were tampered with. Police say they were cashed under fraudulent identities.

All incidents reported to police are under investigation. If anyone needs to report an incident, police ask that you call 908-876-3232 and press "0" for a Communication Officers, or stop at Police Headquarters to speak with an officer.
