LONG VALLEY, NJ β€” Halloween spirits are back in Long Valley, as township officials bring a festive boost to the season with a Halloween house decorating contest. Now’s the time to embrace the spooky spiritβ€”dust off your decorations and let the vampires, witches, and ghouls come to life.

Who do you think has the scariest home in all of Long Valley? You can make your choice, as voting is now officially open for the Washington Township Recreation Department's annual Halloween House Decorating Contest.

Washington Township Recreation said they are on the hunt for Halloween yard haunts that will make people stop, stare, and maybe even scream. They’re also looking for kid-friendly, whimsically decorated yards that capture the fun spirit of the spooky season.

Capture a photo of the best decorated home, along with its address, and send it to recreation@wtmorris.net. You can also mail it to Washington Township Recreation at 50 Rock Road, Long Valley, NJ 07853.

All submissions must be turned in by noon on Oct. 28, officials said.
