LONG VALLEY, NJ — A home health aide is accused of stealing $710 from a Washington Township family, police said.

Sandra Gonzalez, 53, from Paterson, was arrested on Tuesday following an investigation, police said. According to police, a Bartley Road homeowner reported the money missing on Tuesday.

Police worked with the homeowner and "found that the home health aide was responsible for the theft," police said. Gonzalez was still at the home, and police say they found the money in her possession.

Gonzalez was issued a criminal complaint for theft and was released with an upcoming municipal court date.
