Injured Young Biker Airlifted From Long Valley Trail
The biker was injured after suffering a fall, first responders said.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — A young biker was airlifted from Patriot's Path after a serious injury, the Long Valley First Aid Squad said.
The biker, a 14-year-old, fell off of his bike and injured his lower legs, Morris County Park Police Det. Paul Williams said.
The teen was rescued from the trail, just off of the Columbia Trail, by several emergency agencies around 5 p.m. Because of the type of injuries, he was taken to Morristown Medical Center by a medical helicopter, Williams said.

It was not immediately clear what caused the teen to fall off of his bike.
