Long Valley Music Teacher, Mother Dies at 64

Linda Roy survived by two sons, husband.

Linda Roy was a devoted woman who brought immense heart to all that she encountered.

The Long Valley resident of three decades died recently at the age of 64.

Roy was born in Syracuse, New York and enjoyed spending time in Rhode Island, where she met her husband, Ray. The two began their family there before moving to Long Valley 30 years ago.

Roy enjoyed music, playing guitar, and teaching classes at St. Dunstan’s and Valley Brook Country Day School.

She is survived by her husband of 35 years, sons Daniel and Matthew and their wives, and two brothers.

A memorial gathering will be held Friday, Dec. 4 with visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. at the William J. Leber Funeral Home on Furnace Road in Chester.
