Cox, Barisone's barn manager who said she didnβt see the shooting, was documented as having called police the day after it to report that Kanarakβs fiancΓ© Rob Goodwin had attempted to enter the barn, but appeared βmenacingβ as he did so. Goodwin told police that he and Cox had planned to meet and exchanged numbers beforehand; and he was there for hay and wraps for his horses.
However, during interviews with police the day Kanarak was shot, Cox reportedly told Washington Township police officers that she had a black and pink 9mm Ruger that Barisone requested to take a look at about two days before the incident, but it never came back to her.
