Long Valley Sidewalk Project To Begin, Last 3 Weeks

New walkway to be installed from Long Valley Center to Sunoco gas station.

LONG VALLEY, N.J. – A new walkway is coming to a heavily traveled area of Long Valley, and the construction project is expected to last about three weeks.

Beginning on or about May 3, construction will begin for a sidewalk made of pavers on East Mill Road from Long Valley Center to the area of the Sunoco Station at the intersection of Mountain View Avenue and East Mill Road.

Construction will run from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday until the project is complete. As a result of the construction zone, East Mill Road will have a lane shift in place that will allow for traffic to continue functioning normally, Lt. Doug Compton said.
