Long Valley Toddler Hospitalized After Serious Injury
The toddler was flown to a nearby trauma center, police said.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — A local toddler was flown to the hospital on Monday night after being severely injured in Washington Township, according to authorities.
According to the Washington Township Police Department, officers responded to a 911 call on July 3 for a traumatic injury involving a toddler at a residence in the township's Schooley's Mountain section.
Corporal Kevin Barnes then arrived on the scene and applied a tourniquet to the child to stop severe bleeding, authorities said.

Police did not respond to Patch's request for comment on how the injury was sustained.
According to police, the toddler was then transported to a landing zone by the Long Valley First Aid Squad before being flown to a nearby trauma center.

"Because of the sensitive nature of this incident, no further details will be provided at this time," police said in a statement.
