Longtime Long Valley Resident, Grandfather Dies At 73

Ralph Ewall moved to town 26 years ago.

LONG VALLEY, N.J. – Ralph Ewall had a passion for music, cooking, and especially his grandchildren.

The longtime Long Valley resident died recently at the age of 73.

Ewall moved to town 26 years ago. He graduated Villanova University and later received a Masters and PhD in Physical Inorganic Chemistry from Seton Hall University. He worked as a Senior Compliance and Quality Consultant for Maetrics in West Chester, Pennsylvania for many years.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ellen; two daughters; and two grandchildren.

A celebration of Ralph’s Life includes visitation on Monday, May 9, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the William J. Leber Funeral Home on Furnace Road in Chester.

A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, May 10 at 11 a.m. at St. Lawrence Church in Chester.
