LONG VALLEY – A man working on the roof of a home Wednesday morning fell some 40 feet to the ground, requiring a helicopter to fly him to a hospital, Lt. Doug Compton said.Washington Township Police responded to a medical call just before noon Wednesday on Kings Highway for a report of a man who fell approximately 10 to 30 feet from a house roof, Compton said.When police arrived they found the 40-year-old worker unresponsive and that he fell from a height of 40 feet, Compton said.The man was taken by helicopter to Morristown Medical Center. His current status is unknown.Check back with Patch for more details as they become available.
