Micro Housing For Veterans Approved In Washington Twp
The tiny homes, which must be under 300 square feet, will be reserved for veterans.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — The Washington Township Committee has taken a big step towards creating a micro housing area for veterans within the Township, approving a resolution at Monday's meeting.
The committee voted to approve conditional zoning standards that allow farms to host micro housing dedicated to veterans. Micro housing, also known as tiny homes, are homes under 300 square feet and no more than 13.5 feet tall that are built with wheels so they can be moved at any point.
What makes the Washington micro housing unique is that it requires the micro homes be occupied be veterans all year long.

The homes are still subject to planning board approval, and applicants must provides plans that show how the homes follow all necessary ordinances. Up to five housing units will be approved within the town.
