Morris Co.'s First Shake Shack Has New Opening Timeline

PARSIPPANY, NJ — A new opening time frame for Morris County's first Shack Shack, to be located in the new Waterview Marketplace in Parsippany, has been announced.

The popular burger joint is expected to open alongside the rest of the plaza in the summer of 2019, RD Management said. Builders had originally been aiming to open by the end of 2018.

Shake Shack has other locations in New Jersey (including Paramus, Livingston, and Bridgewater), but this will be the first in Morris County. It's known for its long lines in Manhattan, including in a location just outside of Times Square.

Shake Shack serves burgers, hot dogs, french fries and milkshakes. They also offer a portobello mushroom burger and a chicken sandwich.

Other stores in the under-construction plaza include Whole Foods, Shake Shack, Ulta Beauty, Orangetheory, Homesense, The Paper Store, B.Good and DSW.

Residents should expect one more store announcement for the shopping center. A site plan on RD Management's website shows one store has yet to be leased out.
