Nixle Alerts Phased Out In Washington Twp, New System In Effect

Still want to get alerts? You'll need to sign up for the new system.

WASHINGTON, NJ β€” Washington Township has officially switched their emergency alert system, effective January 1.

The town switched from Nixle to Rave Alert, the new county-wide system. Sign-ups do not transfer between the systems, so even if you were already getting Nixle alerts, you'll have to sign up to start getting Rave alerts.

Washington began using Rave Alert on Dec. 17, but officially phased out Nixle on Jan. 1.
