Oktoberfest Celebrations Make A Comeback In Long Valley

Raise your steins and usher in fall with these vibrant celebrations, showcasing local bands, delicious food, refreshing beer and more.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Although we're miles away from Germany, Oktoberfest is still within reach! Raise your steins as two beloved Oktoberfest celebrations return to Long Valley this fall.

Ort Farms has recently announced the dates for this cherished community event, giving residents plenty of time to mark their calendars and get ready to welcome the fall season with family and friends.

On Sept. 21 and 22, Czig Meister Brewing Company will be on-site at 25 Bartley Road for Ort Farms' annual Oktoberfest event. In addition to the farm’s regular fall activities, including pumpkin picking, hayrides, and a corn maze, attendees can savor traditional Oktoberfest music and food.

Czig Meister will be offering a specialty Ort-toberfest Apple Spice Hard Seltzer from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.

Food vendors at the event will include Dellano's Foods, Bacon on a Stick, The Brew Crew, Alpine Creamery, Cas' Pierogi and Kielbasa and Kasha's German Imbiss. Additionally, Knot of this World Pretzels will be available on Sunday only.

The live music schedule for the event is as follows:Saturday:

  • 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: John Lepre
  • 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: Peter and the Wolf-Gang

Sunday:

  • 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Matt Pietrucha
  • 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.: The Swedish Meatball

Chilton Mill Brewing, located at 59 East Mill Road, will host another Oktoberfest celebration on Sept. 21 and 22. The event will feature live music both days, a stein-hoisting competition, and a selection of delicious German-style beers for attendees to enjoy.

On Sept. 21, the festivities will start at 3 p.m. and run until 9 p.m., while on Sept. 22, the festival will be held from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Click here for Chilton Mill’s event page, which says this annual Oktoberfest is a rain or shine event.
