Old Turnpike Road Bridge Reopens After 8-Month Project
Deck replacement took twice as long as anticipated.

LONG VALLEY, N.J. β Whatβs four months of a road closure between friends?
The Old Turnpike Road Bridge deck replacement project is finally complete, and took nearly twice as long as projected.
The work started in mid-August, 2015, with a projected re-opening date of Dec. 15, 2015. Washington Twp. Police Lt. Doug Compton announced May 5, 2016, that the work was complete and the bridge was reopened to travelers.

Old Turnpike Road bridge was the third bridge replacement project in the township over the last four years, preceded by Middle Valley Road and Newburgh Road bridges.
