Pedestrian Struck By Hit-And-Run Driver In Hackettstown: PD

Police provided a video of the seconds before the crash, and are asking residents for information.

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ β€” Police are searching for a driver that fled after hitting a man in a Hackettstown crosswalk Tuesday afternoon.

Police say the driver was turning off of East Moore Street, left onto Route 46 eastbound when she hit a 24-year-old Hackettstown man who was in the crosswalk. The man's knee was injured in the crash, and he refused medical attention, police said.

The driver is described as a young woman in a black Hyundai with a missing left rear hubcap. Anyone with information is asked to call the Hackettstown Police Department at 908-852-3302 or 908-852-3300.
