Police Department Kicks Off Annual Toy Collection Drive In Long Valley

LONG VALLEY, NJ — This holiday season, the Washington Township Police Department has partnered with Toys for Tots.

The Community Oriented Policing Unit will be collecting toys for children in need.

Toys for Tots is a national charitable program run by the US Marine Corps Reserve. Toys are collected and distributed to children whose families may be struggling financially and unable to purchase gifts during the holiday season as part of the program.

Only brand-new, unwrapped toys will be accepted during the collection from now through December 16. Donations will be taken at the Washington Township Police Department, which is located at 1 East Springtown Road, in Long Valley.
