Police Fundraiser Supports Officer With Cancer In Long Valley

The Washington Township Police Department will host a "No Shave November" fundraiser to benefit a fellow officer.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — Members of the Washington Township Police Department will get a little hairier this November for a good cause.

The Washington Township Police Department will kick off a No-Shave November fundraising campaign. This year, they're helping a Morris County police officer who was recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

The officer's name is being withheld from the public in order to protect the officer's family's privacy, according to police. According to a GoFundMe started in the officer's honor, they have had a prestigious 24-year career and have served their community with integrity and pride.
