Raiders Football Announces Registration Dates For 2016 Season

Long Valley program to hold three in-person events in March, April.

LONG VALLEY, N.J. – Are you ready for some football?

It may only be March, but signups for the fall sport on the gridiron are about to begin.

The Long Valley Raiders Football Association will be holding three in-person registration events for the 2016 season over the next month, including:

  • Saturday, March 19 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Cucinella Cafetorium
  • Saturday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Cucinella Cafetorium
  • Wednesday, April 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Cucinella Cafetorium

Mail-in registrations won’t be accepted and all players must be signed up by attending one of the three in-person events.

Players in kindergarten through eighth grade are eligible to play in three different categories depending on age and weight.

The Long Valley Raiders Football Association was created in 1972 and has been the sole provider of organized football in Washington Township for more than 40 years. The Raiders are a feeder program to West Morris Central High School’s Wolfpack football program and all coaches are USA Football Heads Up Tackling Certified.

The Raiders play in the Morris County Youth Football League, which provides leadership for associations throughout Morris, Sussex, Somerset, and Warren counties.
