Road Repair Projects Coming Up In Long Valley

One is beginning on or around July 26. Two roads being worked on in early August may be closed to thru-traffic for approximately four days.

LONG VALLEY, NJ β€” Several road projects are happening soon in Long Valley, with one expected to likely start this coming Monday.

On the days that these streets are worked on, it will occur between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., in most instances.

Washington Township announced that Stephensburg Road is going to be oiled and chipped beginning around Monday, July 26.

Starting around the week of Monday, Aug. 9, Dogwood Drive and Hemlock Drive will be milled and paved. That project will take about four days, with both of the roads expected to be shut down to thru-traffic as they’re being milled.

More details will be coming soon from the township about improvements on Spring Lane, with that project expected to start at the end of August.

At the end of the summer or the start of autumn, Rock Road’s improvements will take place, with more information coming in the near future from Washington Township.

Washington Township Mayor Matt Murello updated residents about some of the projects in June, stating seven miles of roadway in the township would be rehabbed. The Rock Road improvements, Murello said, are grant-funded.
