Senior Thanksgiving Luncheon Planned In Long Valley
The deadline to register for the annual senior Thanksgiving celebration is Nov. 7.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — Despite the fact that October has only just begun, Thanksgiving is on everyone's mind, with Washington Township's Recreation Department now accepting registration for the 2022 Annual Senior Thanksgiving Luncheon.
Planned for Monday, Nov. 14, beginning at 11 a.m., the luncheon is hosted by the Recreation Department at the Valley View Chapel on 115 East Mill Road.
The luncheon will offer all of the usual Thanksgiving centerpieces and trimmings. The take-out option will be offered from 12 p.m. until 1:00 pm for those unable to attend.

The featured entertainer for the Thanksgiving event is "Philadelphia's Best Ben Franklin," also known as Robert DeVitis. "Let Mr. Franklin entertain you as he speaks about his life and times in Colonial America and abroad in an amazingly entertaining way," recreation officials said.
For in-person or take-out dining, seniors need to register by Nov. 7, with the meal $12 for residents and $14 for non-residents.
