St. Patrick's Day Parade Coming Up In Hackettstown

The annual event is back for it's 11th year in Hackettstown.

HACKETSTOWN, NJ β€” The 11th annual Hackettstown St. Patrick's Day Parade is coming up, and will be fun for the whole family.

The parade will be held on Sunday, March 10 and will kick-off at 3:30 p.m. Jim Travis will serve as the Grand Marshal. Parade participants are expected to include Irish dance groups, Irish bands, community groups, bagpipes, drums, Centenary University clubs and groups, animals, Hackettstown and surrounding area fire departments and rescue squads.

Over 14,000 people attend the annual event, and pets are welcome. A pet costume contest will be held.

More pre-parade festivities will be announced as the parade gets closer.

Route 46 will be closed between Liberty Stand and Warren Street, and Mountain Ave will be closed between Main Street and Victoria Lane starting at 3:15 p.m.

The following Streets will have no parking starting at 2 p.m. on Sunday:

  • Rt46 (Main St) between Grand Ave and Warren St.
  • Washington St between Church St and Valentine St.
  • Franklin St between Liberty St and Route 517 (High St)
  • Liberty St between Route 46 and Franklin St
  • Valentine St between Rt46 (Main St) and Beatty St.
  • Madison St between Valentine St and Grand Ave.
  • Monroe St between Valentine St and Grand Ave.
  • Jefferson St between Valentine St and Grand Ave.
  • Washington St between Warren St and Bells Lane.
  • Victoria Lane between RT182 (Mountain Ave) and Mitchell Rd.
  • Bells Lane between RT182 (Mountain Ave) and Washington St.

Parking is available in municipal lots and on other side streets. Cars parked illegiall will be ticketed and towed.
