Stolen Property, DWI Charge In Long Valley: Police Blotter
A recent arrest was made in connection with a theft of more than $3,000 in the township, according to the police department.
LONG VALLEY, NJ — In recent weeks, Long Valley has seen a DWI arrest and an investigation into a theft of over $3000 from the township. The following information was compiled from Washington Township police department records.
On Jan. 20, Washington Township Police detectives arrested an 18-year-old woman from Frederick, Maryland following an investigation into a theft of over $3,000 worth of equipment from Centenary University Equestrian Center.
The woman, who has not been publicly identified by police, was charged with theft, fencing and receiving stolen property. She was processed and released pending a court date in Morris County Superior Court.

On Jan. 26, police officers conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 46. During the course of the stop the driver, a 58-year-old male from Paterson, provided false information to the officers about his identity.
Further investigation revealed the driver's true identity, as well as the location of an outstanding NCIC warrant, police said.

The man, who has not been publicly identified by police, was arrested and charged with providing false information to hinder his apprehension. He was lodged in Warren County Jail on an outstanding NCIC warrant.
On Feb. 4, at approximately 11:20 p.m., a Washington Township police officer responded to a radio call for a suspicious vehicle in the area of Rosalyn Drive and Ann Road. Officers located the vehicle and made contact with the driver, an 18-year-old Long Valley man who was drinking alcohol while driving.
Following further investigation, the driver was arrested for drunk driving. He was charged with DWI and having an open container in a motor vehicle. The suspect was released pending an initial court appearance.
