The town is switching from Nixle to Rave Alert, the new county-wide system. Even if you already get Nixle alerts, you'll have to sign up to start getting Rave alerts. The new system goes into effect Monday, Dec. 17; Nixle will be phased out on Jan. 1. Those already getting Reverse 911 calls do not need to register again.
