Washington Twp Moving To New Emergency Alert System

Anyone interested in the alerts will have to sign-up, even if you already get them through the old service.

LONG VALLEY, NJ β€” Washington Township is moving to a new alert system, and anyone interested in receiving them will have to sign up.

The town is switching from Nixle to Rave Alert, the new county-wide system. Even if you already get Nixle alerts, you'll have to sign up to start getting Rave alerts. The new system goes into effect Monday, Dec. 17; Nixle will be phased out on Jan. 1.

Those already getting Reverse 911 calls do not need to register again. To register for Rave Alert, click here.
