Washington Twp Police Hiring Officer For WMCHS

The Class III Special Officer will patrol the high school.

LONG VALLEY, NJ — The Washington Township Police Department is hiring a new Class III Special Police Officer to patrol West Morris Central High School.

Applicants must be "a retired law enforcement officer less than 65 years of age who previously served as a duly qualified, fully training full time officer in any municipality or county of this state or as a member of the State Police and was separated from prior service in good standing within 3 years of appointment to this position." They must also currently live in New Jersey.

The officer will conduct safety and security duties within West Morris Central High School, and will work about 20-29 hours a week when school is in session. Pay is $30 per hour.
