At Monday’s borough council meeting in Madison, a unanimous vote rescinded a resolution to rebuild the Civic Center and include 40 units of affordable housing at 28 Walnut Street, according to TAP into Madison.

“Experience has shown us that good long-range planning cannot occur under the pressure of short-term deadlines,” Mayor Robert Conley wrote in a letter that was read aloud by Attorney Matthew Giacobbe during the meeting.
