Blanket Donations Needed At Madison Animal Shelter
As winter approaches, the St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center has issued a request for bedding for the shelter's cats and dogs.

MADISON, NJ — The St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center in Madison issued a call for bedding to help support the shelter's large number of dogs and cats.
The shelter claims that they are desperately short on bedding for their cats and dogs and has kindly requested that anyone with any extra towels, sheets, or fleece blankets drop them off at the Madison location.
St. Hubert's Madison location is at 575 Woodland Avenue and is open from 8 a.m. through 6 p.m.

"Items that are easy to launder are best; we can't wash large blankets or comforters. We do not have a need for pillowcases or washcloths at this time," officials said.
St. Hubert's, which has been in operation for more than 80 years, currently houses more than 100 cats available for adoption, as well as approximately 36 dogs and 12 small animals in need of homes.

The shelter currently houses animals of all ages, sizes, and breeds, ranging from kittens and puppies to senior pets. Adoption counselors at St. Hubert can assist people in finding the ideal pet for their family and lifestyle, according to Diane Ashton, director of communications.
No appointment is needed to adopt, but the shelter encourages people to take a look at their website before they come in, to see which animals are available.
All donations made during the holiday season will be matched dollar for dollar, giving the animals in need twice as much help.
Anyone interested in adopting a shelter animal can view all available animals on St. Hubert's website.
