This year marks the 47th anniversary of the premier street festival. Since its inception in 1974 by Mayor Elizabeth Baumgartner, this event has grown year after year. Officials stated that the goal is to encourage economic growth and business development so that Madison's downtown can continue to thrive in the future.
In addition, as in previous years, the Madison Chamber of Commerce and Madison P.B.A. #92 will hold their popular annual Madison Car Show in conjunction with Bottle Hill Day in the Ambulance Corps Lot on Kings Road.
The borough will provide a shuttle service for residents on the day of the festival. Residents can park their cars in the Madison Community Pool lot and take the shuttle downtown, where they will be dropped off right in the heart of town.
From 9:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the shuttle will run in a continuous loop between the parking lot and the town center.
