Bottle Hill Day Returns To Madison Borough This Weekend

Following the postponement, the popular street fair will return on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Madison.

MADISON, NJ — This weekend, Madison residents can finally enjoy the return of the beloved annual street fair, as well as a variety of activities at Bottle Hill Day in Madison.

After being postponed due to the impending arrival of Hurricane Ian, the new date for the festival is Oct. 15. There will be over 6 blocks of food, four stages for entertainment and more than 225 vendors, councilman Hoover said during Monday's council meeting.

Over the last three decades, the festival has evolved from a business district promotion program to a family, entertainment, and community celebration that draws between 10,000 and 20,000 people to Madison's heart each fall.

This year marks the 47th anniversary of the premier street festival. Since its inception in 1974 by Mayor Elizabeth Baumgartner, this event has grown year after year. Officials stated that the goal is to encourage economic growth and business development so that Madison's downtown can continue to thrive in the future.

Bottle Hill Day, which celebrates Madison's rich musical talent, allows residents to enjoy a full day of music on multiple stages and across multiple genres. Every year, local musicians and performers look forward to the opportunity to showcase their many talents to the community.
