Calling All Artists: Madison Library Seeks Submissions for New Exhibit

Locals are encouraged to submit a work of art in any medium for the Library's monthlong exhibit entitled "Seeing Red."

Calling all artists! The Madison Public Library is searching for talented local artists to contribute to the library’s February exhibit.

The theme for the month-long exhibit is “Seeing Red.” The exhibit will feature work by Madison residents of all ages, where red is the dominant color in the piece.

Current and former Madison residents as well as those who work in Madison, including professional and amateur artists and students, are invited to submit.

Any media that can be hung on a wall is acceptable, Jill Work of the Madison Library stated. Artists must submit by Wednesday, Jan. 21 for first consideration.

Submissions will be accepted via the library’s website or drop off form at the circulation desk. The submission form is available at the circulation desk and on the teen page, adult events page, and art exhibit page on library website.

Submissions will be accepted beyond Jan. 21 on a space-available basis. Questions can be emailed to Jill Work at jill.work@mainlib.org. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to share your talents with the community.

A reception to celebrate the artists and exhibit will be held at the library at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 8. The reception is free and open to the public.
