Car Tires Slashed in 'Rash of Criminal Mischief'

Incidents occurred over the weekend, Madison police said.

Madison police are investigating a "rash of criminal mischief incidents," including car tire slashings that occurred in an area of the borough over the weekend, authorities said.

Some residents in the area of North Street and South Street reported their car tires were slashed on Saturday evening, Madison Police Det. Kenneth Shannon said in a news release Wednesday.

The tires appear to have been slashed with a knife, he said.

The Madison Police Detective Bureau is investigating and police are asking anyone with information to call the police department at 973-593-3000.
