DWI, Burglary, Drug Possession: Recent Police Activity in Madison

Recent activity as reported by the Madison Police Department.

Madison police reported the following recent incidents:

Oct. 21

Officer Bart Glab responded to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Crestwood Drive at 12:26 a.m. Upon arrival, Glab saw a blue Jeep Cherokee, which had a flat tire and fresh damage, on the side of the road.

After speaking to the driver, David P. Magrini, 24, of Yardley, Penn., Glab came to the opinion that the latter was intoxicated.

Magrini was arrested and charged with DWI, refusal to submit breath samples, DWI in a school zone, failure to report an accident, leaving the scene of an accident, careless driving and reckless driving.

Oct. 22

Following an investigation, Detective Ken Shannon arrested a 24-year-old Budd Lake man.

Shannon was investigating a motor vehicle burglary from Oct. 18. A vehicle on Lincoln Place was broken in to and $450 worth of belongings were removed.

Nicholas Klypka was charged with burglary and theft and was arrested by Mt. Olive police on a warrant.

Klypka was transported to Morris County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bail.

The Morris County Sheriff’s Department and Chatham Borough Police Department assisted with the investigation.

Oct. 27

Officer Bart Glab arrested three teens who were smoking marijuana inside James Park at 10:01 p.m.

John Churchill Crane, 19, of Studio City, Calif. and Brooke L. Beebe, 19, of Chandler, Ariz. were charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Hector L. Maldonado, 19, of Newark, was charged with possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance (marijuana).

Oct. 31

After a motor vehicle stop, Officer Bart Glab arrested a Plainfield man and Bellville woman for a warrant

An investigation determined that the passenger, Tiffany DeJesus, 21, was in possession of marijuana.

The officer also found a small amount of marijuana inside the vehicle.

The driver, Xzander S. Martinez, 18, had an $200 outstanding warrant from Plainfield.

DeJesus was charged with marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Martinez was issued summonses for failure to maintain lanes and turned over to the Plainfield Police Department in lieu of bail.

Nov. 1

Officer Matthew Mirabella arrested a 57-year-old Madison man for defiant trespassing.

Mirabella was dispatched to a Main Street business where James Mastrobuno, who was previously notified that he was not permitted inside the store, was on premise.

Mastrobuono had already left the store upon the officer's arrival, but the Mirabella found the man several blocks away on Kings Road.
