Fill Up Your Tank In Support Of The Madison Education Foundation

Madison residents can now fill up their tanks for a good cause until the end of October.

MADISON, NJ — Residents of Madison can now fuel up for a good cause this fall.

Between now and Oct. 31, one cent from every gallon of gas sold at the Shell on 103 Main Street's specially designated "Giving Pump" will be donated to the Madison Education Foundation (MEF).

The "Giving Pump," according to officials, is the specially marked pump with colorful, purple signage, where a portion of your fill-up will be donated to help Madison public schools and its hardworking teachers and students.

The MEF provides educational enrichment grants to Madison public school teachers and staff and funds great ideas that energize students' academic and creative lives but are outside the school district budget through teacher grants.

The special fundraiser is part of Shell's "The Giving Pump" initiative, which was launched in order to support local charities across the country.

"We are thrilled to bring back The Giving Pump to make an even bigger impact this year and give customers the chance to support local charities across the country," said Shannon Bryan, Manager of Brand and Communications for Shell Retail US. "We encourage our customers to pay it forward at the pump and choose The Giving Pump on their next fill up or road trip pit stop to help us fuel the future of local communities."

Shell wholesalers and retailers donated over $1.5 million to over 400 children's charities through The Giving Pump in 2021, according to Shell. In the United States, the designated giving pumps were used 7.2 million times last year.
