Free Rabies Clinic Coming Up In Madison Borough

The free clinic for cats and dogs will take place this Saturday, Dec. 3.

MADISON, NJ — Madison Borough will hold another free rabies clinic for dogs and cats.

The clinic will be held at the Madison Department of Public Works, which is located at 34 John Avenue, on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

For this year's clinic, registration is not necessary, officials said.

Those who receive a rabies vaccine at this clinic will also be eligible to take advantage of the borough's new three-year pet license.

Once symptoms appear, rabies is almost always fatal. Domestic animals can transmit rabies to humans via infected animals' saliva, emphasizing the importance of keeping your pets' immunizations up to date.
