Hang With Former NY Jets, And Pets, At Morris Co. Animal Shelter

The shelter will be hosting an adoption tailgate event, and guests have the opportunity to meet two former NFL players.

MADISON, NJ — Football fans and animal lovers alike have the opportunity to have a pretty exciting weekend.

On Saturday, the St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center will be hosting an adoption tailgate event. The event kicks off at 1:30 p.m. and will take place outside the center, located at 575 Woodland Avenue in Madison.

Aside from hanging out with tons of puppies and kittens, visitors will have the opportunity to meet former New York Jets Tony Richardson and Quincy Enunwa.

The fullback and wide receiver will be meeting fans and signing autographs during the event from 2 to 4 p.m.

Now may be the time to adopt a new furry friend, because the St. Hubert's Animal Welfare Center is waiving adoption fees for dogs and cats five months and up from 1:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday.

In addition to seeing pets and NFL players, there will be vendors and family-friendly activities from 1:30 to 4 p.m., along with a dog costume contest at 2:30 p.m.
