Hour-By-Hour Forecast: Strong Winds, Blistering Cold Temperatures Approaching

Wind chill values dipping as low as -15 degrees are expected this weekend.

Brace yourselves for another round of brutal weather this weekend, as a storm delivering snow, ice and rain is forecasted to be approaching New Jersey.

The National Weather Service issued two weather advisories, including a wind chill advisory in effect from midnight on Friday, Feb. 20, through 10 a.m. Friday, a special weather statement.

The wind chill advisory advises that wind chill values on Thursday into Friday morning could reach as low as 15 degrees below zero due to air temperatures between 0 and 5 degrees and 15 to 25 mph winds, with gusts up to 35 mph. The NWS said the lowest wind chills will occur after midnight into Friday morning.

The National Weather Service predicts temperatures tonight to sink as low as 0 degrees, with wind chill values as low as -17 degrees.

Despite sunny conditions on Friday, temperatures are expected to be blistering cold. Temperatures are expected to peak at 15 degrees Friday, with wind chills as low as -20 during the day, according to the National Weather Service. At night, the air temperature is predicted to sink to 2 degrees.

Snow is expected on Saturday, mainly after 1 p.m., with a high near 30 degrees, the NWS reported. Wind chill values as low as -10 during the day. At night, snow is expected before 1 a.m., then snow, freezing rain and sleet likely between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m., changing to just snow after 2 a.m. with total accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Sunday temperatures should reach as high as 42. Night time conditions will be mostly cloudy with a low around 17 degrees.
