ICYMI: Report: Madison High School 23rd Best in New Jersey
The schools were judged based state tests results and how well the students were prepared for college, according to the rankings.

Madison High School cracked the top 25 best high schools in the state of New Jersey, according to an annual report from U.S. News & World Report.
Madison High School came in at No. 23 on the list of best high schools in the state.
According to the report, 98 percent of students are proficient in language and 94 percent are proficient in mathematics. Madison High School’s college readiness index, which is a weight average based 25 percent on Advanced Placement or IB participation rate and 75 percent on the quality-adjusted AP or IP participation rate, is 55.1 out of 100, the report said. Madison has a 63 percent AP participation rate.

Madison High School was ranked 422nd out of all high schools in the United States. The high school, located at 170 Ridgedale Ave., has 812 students and is the only high school in the Madison Public Schools district.
U.S. News & World Report reviewed more than 21,000 public high schools nationwide. Schools were judged “based on their performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college,’’ according to the website.
