MADISON, NJ — After two years of cancellations and modifications, residents in cities and counties across the country are looking forward to many of the traditional Independence Day activities that mark the summer holiday. July 4 is tomorrow, so there’s still time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

July 4 Festivities
- What: July Fourth Celebration
- Where: Morristown National Historical Park, 30 Washington Place, Morristown
- When: July 4, at 12 p.m.
More Details: Morristown National Historical Park will celebrate our Declaration of Independence with July Fourth activities beginning at Noon on the park’s Washington Headquarters grounds with a “warm-up for the Declaration” followed by the reading of the Declaration. The “warm-up” will feature a park ranger in period clothing entertaining the crowd and giving a “kids level” explanation of the Declaration. Eighteenth-century stories, jokes, and riddles are all part of the fun.

- What: Chatham Firework Display
- Where: Chatham Middle School, 480 Main Street
- When: July 4, at 7 p.m
More Details: The gates will open at 7 p.m., and the public is invited to enjoy musical entertainment by New Jersey's premier vintage rock and soul band, The Star Band, prior to the fireworks.
- What: Chatham Fourth of July Parade and fireworks display
- Where: The parade will start at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and Main Street
- When: July 4, at 10:30 a.m
More Details: On July 4, the Mayor and Council will raise the flag and inspect the fire department at the Borough Firehouse at 9:15 a.m. The parade will start at the intersection of Hillside Avenue and Main Street at 10:30 a.m. and will proceed down Main Street to Chatham Middle School.
- What: Denville Firework Display
- Where: Gardner Field, 2 Savage Rd, Denville
- When: July 4, at 7 p.m.
More Details: The band will begin playing music at 7 p.m. and will continue until 9 p.m., followed by the fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.
- What: Brookside 4th of July Parade
- Where: The parade route will begin at Tingley Road
- When: July 4, at 9 a.m
More Details: Residents are encouraged to participate in the parade by entering a float, decorating their bikes, polishing their antique cars, or dressing their dogs in fun patriotic attire. At the conclusion of the parade route, there will be a community celebration with activities for the entire family.
- What: East Hanover Firework Display
- Where: Lurker Park, 631 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover
- When: July 4 at 7:00 p.m.
More Details: At 7:00 p.m., the DJ will start playing music, and the Food Trucks will open. The fireworks start at dusk.
