July 4th Fireworks 2022 Near Madison

MADISON, NJ — Cities and counties across the country continue to bring back many of the traditional Independence Day activities that were either canceled or modified the last two years. July 4 is just around the corner, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near Madison in 2022.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Madison so you can start planning now.

Madison has not announced any 4th of July festivities as of yet, but there are several other towns in Morris County that are having July 4 fireworks and other activities.

July 4 Festivities

• What: July 4th Historical Hike
• Where: Morris County Historical Society, 68 Morris Ave, Morristown, NJ, 07960
• When: July 1

More Details: Free for attendees, enjoy a guided hike along the Patriots' Path where Revolutionary War activities took place. Walk in the footprints of history, to the ruins of a powder mill, owned by Jacob Ford Jr.

• What: Lake Hopatcong Fireworks
• Where: Launched From Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club, 75 North Bertrand Road, Mt. Arlington
• When: July 4, rain date July 10

More Details: The fireworks in Lake Hopatcong are being launched from the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club, with the club having hosted its yearly display since the 1950s. Residents around and visitors to the state's largest lake, like to drop their anchors for a view within the yacht club; or at restaurants on the water.

• Where: Hamilton Field, 302 E McFarlan St.
• When: July 1, rain date July 2

More Details: Food will be available for purchase, and seating will be limited to the bleachers or track.

• What: Mendham Township Fireworks
• Where: Mosle Field, Mosle Preserve Rd.
• When: July 1

More Details: Enjoy a fun evening of live music, food trucks, a bounce house, giveaways, and arts and crafts for children.After sunset, the fireworks will be on full display, so bring your lawn chairs and blankets. The gates open at 6:00 p.m., so arrive early for a good parking spot.

• What: East Hanover Fireworks
• Where: Lurker Park, 631 Ridgedale Ave
• When: July 4

More Details: Food trucks will be available starting at 7 p.m., and the fireworks show will begin at dusk.
