Madison Hockey 22-Game Winning Streak Snapped by Morristown

Madison High School's winning streak is over after falling to Morristown this weekend.

The Madison High School Dodgers varsity hockey team’s 22-game winning streak was snapped in a 2-0 loss to Morristown on Saturday, Feb. 7.

Madison had the longest ice hockey winning streak in the state of New Jersey, going undefeated and untied in its first 22 games this season.

The game was scoreless through the first two periods before Morristown’s Bradley Greik broke through for the game’s first goal on a power play with 8:16 left in the third period. Kyle Beyer and Christian Rodriguez assisted on the goal.

Later in the third and final period, Beyer scored on another power play with 5:51 remaining in the game, getting an assist from Justin Leifer.

Morristown goaltender Evan Szary made 11 saves in the shutout of the Dodgers. Madison goaltender Kavi Sinha recorded 30 saves in the loss.
