Madison Offering Private Bus Service To N.Y.C. If N.J. Transit Workers Strike
Commuters in need of getting to Manhattan Monday through Friday can board at the Madison Train Station parking lot.
MADISON, N.J. – Knowing its residents are part of a heavy commuter base that travels to and from New York City daily, Madison Borough is trying to help locals travel in the event of a crippling New Jersey Transit strike.
The borough will be offering $25 tickets sold on a first-come, first-served basis daily that will pick up and drop-off at the Madison Train Station.
The first bus will arrive at 5:45 a.m. begin boarding at 6 a.m. Buses will depart when full, and the last bus will leave no later than 7 a.m.

The service will be provided Monday through Friday from March 14 until the strike ends. The latest the service will be available is April 29.
Madison’s buses will drop commuters off at 34th Street between 7th and 8th Avenues in Manhattan, and will load commuters back on at 5 p.m. and leave the city when full. The last bus will leave at 6 p.m. daily.

For identification purposes, the buses will have “Madison” on the windshield and “Aristocrat”on the sides.
