Madison Police: Resident Strikes Acquaintance In Face During Dispute, Two Arrested for Outstanding Warrants

Madison Police reported a man was charged with driving while intoxicated on Shunpike Road and a Borough resident was charged simple assault after striking another individual in the face during a dispute.

On April 25, at 10:22 p.m., Ptl. Bart Glab arrested 52-year-old Arthur Imperatore, of Englewood, New Jersey. Glab was on patrol when he allegedly observed Imperator allegedly speeding on Shunpike Road. While Glab was speaking with Imperatore, the odor of an odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected on his breath. Glab determined Imperatore was operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol above the legal limit. Imperatore was charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Reckless Driving along with other motor vehicle offenses.

On April 28, at 2:11 p.m., Ptl. Matthew Mirabella processed Alexander Baydin, 39, of Madison, on a $250 (Failure To Appear) warrant issued by the Madison Municipal Court.

On April 28, at 10:59 p.m., Ptl. Patrick Strafaci arrested 48-year-old Christopher Wallace, of Madison, New Jersey. While Strafaci was conducting a check of the train station platform he observed that Wallace appeared to under the influence of alcohol. While Strafaci was checking on Wallace, making sure he was ok, an outstanding warrant for $350 was discovered from the Chatham Borough Municipal Court, for an Open Container violation. Wallace was released after posting bail.

In May 5, at 8:59 p.m., Ptl. Patrick Strafaci arrested 31-year-old Sureatha Lipscomb of Madison, New Jersey. Strafaci responded to a Community Place residence on a reported disturbance. When he arrived he learned that Lipscomb allegedly struck an acquaintance in the face during a dispute. Lipscomb was charged with Simple Assault and released on her own recognizance pending an appearance in the Madison Municipal Court.
