Madison Student's 'Paradise Lost' Animation Makes Grade

Daniel Iskandar created whiteboard stop-motion video as project for an English class.

Assigned to complete a project that demonstrated his knowledge of "Paradise Lost" after reading the epic poem for an English class, Madison High School junior Daniel Iskandar created a whiteboard stop-motion video of John Milton's work from the 17th Century.

Iskandar had seen the animation technique used in other YouTube videos and thought it would be neat to do for the project.

Iskandar, who has not yet taken art classes in high school, said creating the animation "was a bit of a process" spread out over a couple of weekends, and he was happy with the end result.
