Man, 22, Killed By Drunk Driver Remembered Lovingly As 'Bear'
Robert Hunter played baseball at Madison High School.

He’ll be remembered for the hugs. They came from a strong, but gentle spirit, who was passionate about so much. That’s why the called him Bear.
Robert “Jamie” Hunter III, affectionately known as Bear, was killed Tuesday night on Route 15 in Sparta Township when he was hit head-on by a drunk driver, police said. That driver has been charged with vehicular homicide.

Hunter was living in Flanders at the time of the crash, as he headed to his overnight job as a security guard in Florham Park. Hunter grew up in Madison, where he began playing baseball at the age of five, according to his obituary.
Hunter played baseball throughout high school in Madison and played on the Flor-Mad American Legion team for several years.

He graduated Madison High School in 2011 and attended County College of Morris.
Hunter loved paintball, movies, and entertaining people with his Irish and Scottish accents.
He is survived by his parents, Robert Hunter, Jr., and Debra Haines Kiser; a sister; and many extended family members.
Memorial donations may be made to any chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) in Hunter’s name.
